Experience the Lake Life in a Luxurious Tiny House by Whatcom Lake Cottages

There’s an adorable community called Wildwood on the shore of Whatcom Lake in Washington made up of tiny houses designed to be the perfect retreat for families. Each home is privately owned and they come with quite the hefty price tag with most starting in the mid-300’s! But you just may decide it’s worth it once you see this incredible 399 square foot model called the Salish. You can rent the cottages and have a nice family vacation in a lovely tiny house.

The exterior of the house is an attractive design with blue siding and wood accents. It has a flat roof design and plenty of large windows.

The deck and stone patio give you a large outdoor area to entertain your guests at or relax under the trees.

Inside, the house is kept a light neutral color to keep a nice flow throughout the home. All of the windows let the sunshine flood in so you almost feel like you’re outside.

The living area is spacious with plenty of room for seating. We love the designs they chose for the tables and TV entertainment system. The slim profile with the wood and metal helps the room stay open and uncluttered. The dining area is open to the living room and kitchen and has enough room for a full-size table.

The house has a large fully-functioning kitchen with full-sized appliances. The cabinets are painted the same shade of blue as the exterior of the house and give you plenty of room for storage. The countertop is done in quartz and you get stainless GE Profile appliances to go with the sleek look of the house.

The hallways leading towards the back of the house has even more built-in storage and closets. We also love the gorgeous tongue-and-groove ceilings. The laundry closet comes with plumbing and plug-ups for a washer/dryer unit.

These houses may be pricey, but the amenities of the community are a mile long! They include: nature trails, pool, hot tub, boat docks, bicycling, kayaking, water skiing, fishing, tennis courts and more. The beautiful water is just 20 feet away from your door and the lots are large for privacy.
